Clinically-validated pain relief

The Neuroglide Back/Neck Pad is an FDA-cleared device designed to help manage acute/chronic pain.

Neuroglide is a safe, effective pain relief device for at-home use that complements regular in-person therapy.

You're on the front lines of the battle against acute/chronic pain.

You know the daily challenges that your clients go through as they attempt to manage acute/chronic pain. Living with pain can be overwhelming—especially if patients have no reliable pain management solutions between appointments.

In the face of the ongoing opioid crisis, a growing number of patients are seeking non-pharmaceutical solutions to their acute/chronic pain—solutions that are effective and accessible from the comfort of their own home.

Until now, there have been very few clinically-validated, FDA-cleared pain relief devices available on the consumer market. Luckily, now there's Neuroglide: An at-home device that offers back/neck pain relief and activates the body’s natural ability to relax, relieve pain and recover.

Neuroglide's patented therapy solution supports a range of positive health outcomes.

The Neuroglide Back/Neck Pad is a new touch therapy system that is based on the principles of manual lymphatic drainage (MLD).

That means that Neuroglide doesn't apply aggressive pressure to deep tissues—instead, it is built on a gentle air channel system that generates waves of gliding pressure that travel up the back and neck.

The device has been carefully engineered to emulate the precise pressure profiles and "stretch and release" technique of MLD. These features of MLD produce a range of therapeutic benefits:
Decongesting effect brought on by relaxing the lymphangiomotor system.
Calming effect triggered by relaxation of the sympathetic nervous system.
Pain reduction caused by stimulation of mechanoreceptors (gate control theory) and removal of pain mediators.
Immunologic responses to aid recovery by accelerating flow of lymph towards lymph nodes.

"There are so many devices out there that claim to improve recovery. None of them are this simple to use, this friction-free, and this delightful. Lay down and let Neuroglide take care of the rest."

Nick Leviton
“After using Neuroglide, I was amazed at how good it made me feel, but also how different the experience was from a conventional massage.”

Michelle Lason
"I was impressed with how it replicated the gentle strokes used for Manual Lymph Drainage. I look forward to using Neuroglide with my MLD clients and incorporating it into a traditional massage for added pain relief and relaxation.”

Pilot Clinical Patient Study:

A Pilot Study Evaluated the Effectiveness of Neuroglide

The Neuroglide device was used on patients in a clinical setting under the supervision of a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

Patients reported impressive results: reduced back pain, improved sleep, alleviated stress-headaches, reduced muscle spasms and reduced fibromyalgia and myalgia pain.

  • A patient who was unable to lie flat due to pain found that Neuroglide reduced her need for narcotic medication and allowed her to sleep in a reclined position.
  • A patient who had experienced a thoracic spine compression fracture found the use of the device to reduce muscle spasm pain in the upper back.
  • A patient with lower extremity lymphedema and chronic back pain found the machine to reduce her back pain symptoms while providing a comforting massage.
  • The device was very helpful for treating stress-related headaches. Clinicians used Neuroglide during down time so that they could return to work and finish their day.

Neuroglide has been shown to activate the body's natural ability to relax, relieve pain and improve sleep+.

Pilot Sleep Study:

Marked Improvements in Sleep Quality

In a pilot study, Neuroglide has been shown to have significant benefits, not only for pain reduction, but also for stress relief and restorative sleep.

In a study conducted by Eva Medtec, participants used a wearable device to monitor standard physiological measures of healthy stress response, relaxation and sleep quality, both before and after using a Neuroglide Back/Neck Pad. The study measured:

  • RHR | resting heart rate
  • HRV | heart rate variability
  • REM sleep
  • Deep sleep
  • Light sleep
  • RECOVERY | calculated as RHR + HRV + sleep

Neuroglide sleep data showed improved heart rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep consistency, and overall sleep efficiency. They also increased time spent in both REM and deep sleep.

What is the biological mechanism by which Neuroglide relieves pain?

MLD applied pressures reduce the activation of the sympathetic nervous system. The pressures that are applied to the body during MLD change the receptor potential of the mechanoreceptors in the skin.

Through the vegetative regulatory circuit, the central nervous system receives the information to reduce sympatheticotonia of the lymph vessels. As a result, when touched, action potential sent by the inhibiting synapsis can eliminate action potentials that are sent by the nociceptors (gate control theory), producing a pain-relieving effect.

What does the warranty for clinical use cover?

Is Neuroglide covered by workers' comp insurance?

In many cases, yes! In addition to OTC sales and clinician referrals, we are also accepting Neuroglide prescriptions for patients who have back/neck pain related to a workers’ compensation claim.

For orders related to workers’ comp claims, a physician should fax a prescription to Eva Medtec, Inc. at 952-479-7936. Workers’ compensation insurance companies must then give Eva Medtec prior authorization in order for a patient to receive a Neuroglide system.

Note: insurance companies approve the Neuroglide system on a case-by-case basis. Not all claims are guaranteed to be approved. Approval for prior authorization is not guaranteed.
